How is the horoscope calculated?
The daily horoscope is calculated by analyzing the real planetary transits of the day via Swiss Ephemeris. For each sign, we look for which planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) are making aspects to the sign's position. The monthly considers the slow transits (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) throughout the month.
What is the difference between horoscope and natal chart?
The horoscope is a general reading based on your sun sign and current transits. The natal chart is a unique map calculated with your exact birth date, time, and place, showing the positions of the 10 planets in the 12 houses and the aspects between them. The natal chart is personal and immutable; the horoscope describes the temporary energies that activate it.
Is the horoscope based on the sun sign or the Ascendant?
Traditionally it's based on the sun sign. However, many astrologers recommend reading also the horoscope of your Ascendant sign, since house transits are calculated from the Ascendant. For a complete reading, check both: the sun sign for general energy and the Ascendant for the themes activated in your daily life.
How often is the horoscope updated?
The daily horoscope is recalculated each day with the real planetary transits. The weekly adds the 7 days of the week. The monthly is updated once a month with the background slow transits. The planetary transits are recalculated as the planets change signs.
